Choose your focus area

Every family is different. Choose the 3 or 4 areas that matter most to you.
Once you select them, you’ll get a chance to create your own family agreements for each one.

Quality Screen Time

It’s not just about how long we spend on screens, but how we use them.

This about what kinds of screen activities bring value, learning, or joy to your family.
For example: “We’ll try to use devices for learning or creativity.”
A stylised shield icon with a check mark inside, representing security and trust.

Online Safety

Everyone has a role in keeping our family safe online.

For example: “We’ll talk about what to do if something feels wrong online.”
“Write 1–2 clear rules that help everyone feel safe and supported online.”

Family Time & Device Free Moments

Some of the best memories happen offline. Let’s protect that time.

For example: “No phones at mealtime.”

Sleep & Bedtime Habits

Good sleep helps everyone feel their best. Devices can make that harder if they’re used too close to bedtime.

For example: “All devices charge in the kitchen overnight.”
Three speech bubbles featuring a thumbs-up, a heart, and a chat icon.

Social Media Use

Social media can connect us — but it can also distract us or affect how we feel.

For example: “We’ll limit scrolling time and talk about what we see online.”

Gaming balance

Games are fun and social, but they can easily take over free time if not managed.

For example: “Balance gaming with outdoor activities.”

Kindness & Respect Online

How we treat others online matters just as much as how we treat them in person.

For example: No name-calling or no sharing without permission,

Our Family Commitment

Well done! You’ve created your family’s own Digital Pledge.
Before finishing, choose one thing you’ll do together to stay connected offline.

Example: Family movie night, board games, cooking together, or a weekly walk.

Thank you!

Thank you for creating your Family Digital Pledge.
You’ll soon receive your personalised pledge document to print or display at home.

Remember: this isn’t about rules — it’s about staying connected, offline and online.
